Launching The Songwriter Show

Music has always been a passion of mine and I have had some great memories on my songwriting journey. Probably the greatest moment is winning the Billboard World Song Contest with my song, How Your Love Changes Everything, co-written with Gina M. Paoni.

But while I am still writing songs these days, I'm also utilizing my marketing talents to launch a new songwriting podcast called The Songwriter Show. The Songwriter Show is an audio and video podcast for songwriters looking to advance their career in the music business. The show features songwriting news, gossip and interviews with up-and-coming and established songwriters and music industry professionals. I've been busy getting the infrastructure created before launching the podcast including setting up a behind-the-scenes social network and music community forum. I'm in the process of finalizing the concept for the show as well as searching for co-hosts, guests and deciding on a launch date later this Summer.

My vision of The Songwriter Show is to be a platform for serious songwriters who want to be successful in today's music business. Unlike other songwriting podcasts, I don't want the show to focus on songwriting tips and the pure joy of songwriting. I want to help those songwriters, like me, who want to make a career out of their passion and are willing to learn what it really takes to make it in today's music business.

I believe this means improving your craft and songs to be more competitive in todays' commercial market, networking with other songwriters, artists, producers and music industry professionals and using tools out there that can help you streamline the process. I'll be using the The Songwriter Show blog to post updates on my progress so you can see what I'm trying to accomplish and how I'm doing it.

So while I'm not expecting to win an award (like my Billboard Award of Excellence), I do hope to use The Songwriter Show to spread my message of hope and hard work.
